I just returned from a week's stay at the Pelican and again I was not disappointed. We'll been to Ft. Lauderdale for the past three years. The staff, the service and the food was absolutely exellent. I took full advantage of being "on vacation" and we barely left the hotel. We only went to scheduled ahead planned activities. Jungle cruise, Mai-Kai,Texas De Brazil, and Sawgrass. Otherthan that we experience total pampering, relaxation, and pure enjoyment. The in room massage, lazy river, and breakfast by the ocean was only topped by walking on the beach at sunset with the water embracing your soul to relax. As the Dean of Student at a major university I was traveling with my daughter (who is a junior Biomedical Engineering major) and my niece (who is a Ph.D. doctorate student) and all three of us needed a break. This was just what the doctor ordered.

We decided to stay in Fort Lauderdale before boarding a cruise out of Miami and it was a great decision. This resort is fantastic! The views from the balcony, the hospitality and the breakfast in the mornings where outstanding. I will recommend this resort to all my friends and family. Thank you for a great stay!
The hotel is on the beach you can walk down from the pool area, food very good, rooms very clean, beautiful ocean view, sunrise from the balcony, we loved the fact that is a nice family resort with lots of fun, the lazy river, the beach, the pool, rent a car to be everything just perfect. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE SAME PLACE SAME HOTEL, WE LOVED IT.
We stayed part of our honeymoon (3 nights) at the Pelican Resort and I can honestly say: I will come back. What you see in this web site, it's really what you see once you are there. The rooms are well kept, clean, and spacious. Food was exquisite. All the staff treated us with hospitality, it felt like being around friends. Nice and clean beach with a great location. My wife and I had a astonishing time that will remember forever. We will come back for our first year anniversary. Thank you guys, I truly say it…. you made our honeymoon an everlasting time to keep in our hearts and memory.
We chose the Pelican Grand Beach as a place to stay when helping our daughter move to Ft. Lauderdale. We wanted to be on the beach and also close to our daughter's house. The hotel is wonderful! Our room was beautiful, immaculately clean, and in excellent condition. We had absolutely no problems with anything during our five day stay. All of the hotel staff were very helpful without being obtrusive. Even though we caught a bit of a tropical storm while there, it was a very good experience. We plan to return for vacations in the future.
You exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious, climate was excellent, the food was superb. We can't wait for our next return. We will only stay at the Pelican Grand when we travel to Florida. The best of relaxation in life is at this resort. Thank you for being there for our life journeys!
The hotel was great, having both beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Although it is a fairly large hotel, it has the personal touches of a small hotel.
Also, the main pool seems to be heated. Although that might be great for winter months, during the summer the pool is not refreshing.
Nevertheless, we had a great experience and plan on returning in the future.
The hotel was beautiful, best service, and best bed in all my years of travel. I will return next week.

Great View, Beautiful lobby, bar and veranda. The staff was very accommodating. We would have liked a few more amenities in the room such as bottled water, nicer wall paper, but still a very hotel right on the ocean.
This was our second stay at the Pelican Grand this year. We really like the hotel and the staff is very accomodating. Trevor Rath has helped us with our reservations both times and everything has been great.We have enjoyed both the rooms and the food and beverage services. We'll be back!

My husband Mike and I stayed at your hotel a week ago and we had a terrific time! All of the bartenders/waiters had wonderful customer service. Personally, I thought Amber was one of the best though. I spoke to Amber the most since she worked a lot more shifts than the others. Gigi, Cristin and James were also very good. Altogether the guys and girls at the Pelican were extremely friendly and helpful. Please send my best to Amber!

Our 8 day stay was top notch. The rooms were big,very clean and comfortable. The Ocean view was awesome. You have a great diversity in your meals. You can tell a business by it's employees and your staff was first class all the way.Definitely one of the cleanest well organized and maintained resorts I have ever been to.

We stayed for 5 days/4 nights at the Pelican to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. It was our second time staying at the hotel. Staff and service are exceptional and are definately looking forward to our next weekend getaway!!
This was our SECOND VISIT to the resort. We were NOT DISAPPOINTED. The service was great,from the front desk to the bellman to the pool boy. The food was good and the view on the porch and the rocking chairs are the best.

What a fantastic hotel! Stayed here 1 night for business and the only regret that I had was not to book extra days. The oceanfron room was incredible...two large rooms seperated by french doors and an outdoor balcony overlooking the beach. Staff & ammenities were exceptional. Looking forward to my next stay.
Spent our 1st anniversary at the Pelician. We had an amazing time. Location was perfect, oceanview room was clean and comfortable (especially liked the room divider) Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Added bonus breakfast was included during our stay and very good.Fantastic value. Would highly recommend and would definetly return

A quick business trip to the Gold Coast area ended up feeling more like a vacation due to the Pelican Grand. According to my husband I am a "hotel snob", and everything about the resort exceeded my expectations; Keep up the good work! The spacious oceanfront suite couldn't have been better, and even while in Hawaii, we have never stayed as close to the beach as we did here. Each and every staff member we came across made eye contact and spoke to us as though we were the only guests at the resort. These farmers from Illinois will not soon forget the graciousness experienced at the Pelican Grand.

My Husband and I were in town for one night to complete some business. He decided instead of staying at the airport to surprise me with a room on the beach. The hotel was absolutely what I needed after a long day. The combination of comfort and elegance was perfect. The staff was wonderful from the front desk to the bartenders. Our room looked as if Laura Ashley her self had decorated it. The colors, fabrics and textures were so soft and inviting. I cant wait to return and hopefully for a long stay.

My wife surprised me with a one night stay at the hotel for my birthday. It was truly a wonderful experience with her just being alone for that time. The hotel is great.. we enjoyed the sunset then the sunrise. We walked on the beach and even got in the ocean.(Something we don't have time to do often). Everything was just perfect. I highly recommend this place

My wife and I drove about two miles to enjoy a romantic getaway for our eighth anniversary. We sipped frozen drinks and drifted around the lazy river ... and then we really started relaxing. Whenever we have a special occasion we always go to the Pelican. (anniversary or BD etc.) The Pelican is very special to us. We are owners of a small business in Deerfield ( Pop's Fish Market) We cannot get away very often, but when we do, we come to our favorite place!

We have a tradition of spending my husband's birthday in Florida. We have stayed in various hotels (including the Trump Towers), and have decided that we prefer the Pelican Grand above all others. Unfortunately the weather was lousy!! But the hotel was so beautiful. This was our 2nd time staying there. The staff at the hotel (in every aspect) was great. With directions and suggestions of things to do with the weather being lousy. I would recommend this hotel to others, which I have already done. A friend stayed a night at the hotel while we were there. Great hotel for kids. The icecream parlor was great. My sons favorite part.
I visited the Pelican Resort with some friends last year and we had a wonderful time. I knew I would have to return with my husband this year, which we did. We called it the honeymoon we never had, been married for 32 years. He had a wonderful time. Beautiful scenery, clean and inviting rooms. My husband walks with a cane because of a back injury and the hotel did everything they could to accomadate him, I was thankful for that. I do agree that the pool needs to be heated, the new smoking policy is great. Next I am going to try and bring my parents so they can see how wonderful the stay is. Thank you Pelican for a great memory.

We were married at the Pelican Beach Resort on 10/4/08. The resort was as beautiful as shown on the website. A beach wedding was the plan, but the weather did not cooperate. Instead we had a beautiful ceremony in the "piano room". Everyone at the resort was wonderful. We all had dinner after and the food was great. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we went off on a cruise. I would definately like to come back for a vacation and would refer my friends as well.
We loved the separate rooms that the suite provides. My husband is often up earlier than I and he had a living room area on the ocean side to go to and could close off the bedroom area with the wood shutters and door, which allowed us both to stay comfortably. The hotel looked like new, and we loved the proximity to the surf and the sound of the ocean.
We loved the Pelican Grand. Beautiful hotel, great service and yummy breakfasts. We especially loved the omelet chef! Thanks for a great weekend.
WOW! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RESORT. WE HAD A FAIRYTALE EXPERIENCE. THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL FROM THE START. VALET, FRONT DESK AND BELL SERVICE WAS ON POINT. THE BAR STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND INVITED US TO RETURN AGAIN. EVENTHOUGH THE WEATHER WAS AWEFUL WE DIDN'T MIND STAYING IN THE BEAUTIFUL ROOM ALL WEEKEND RELAXING AND ENJOYING THE LUXURY OF OUR SUITE. THIS RESORT IS A MUST!
we stayed for a long weekend with others in our group. We were going to the Ravens vs Dolphins game and then head off to a cruise on Monday. The accommodations were great, the hospitality was exceptional and we really wished we could have stayed longer. It was truely a resort vacation. We loved everything about the Pelican Grand and would definitely recommend it to everyone.
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this first class beach resort. It was a step back in time where we could relax on the veranda in a comfy loveseat or rocking chair. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large with a separate living room and walk out balcony.

We were not sure what to expect. We were very plesantly surprised to find that the accomodations met and exceeded our wildest dreams. The Staff was great, we found very good restaurants nearby.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Pelican in January of 2008 and had such a wonderful stay that when I decided to ask her to marry me, I wanted to do it at your hotel. So I booked the trip for this December and planned the surprise engagement at the Pelican. I wrote "Dani, will you marry me" in the sand and woke her up for a beautiful Florida sunrise to see the writing in the sand (from our delightful ocean front suite) as I knelt down and asked her. It was perfect! She couldn't have been more surprised and happy. The entire stay was absolutely perfect. I received a lot of help and support from the staff in setting up the engagement and everyone treated us so nice, as usual, all weekend. Ivan at the front desk was very helpful in setting up everything for me and for us all weekend long. We had one of those perfect weekends where everything went right and we are now even more in love with the hotel. My fiance is so in love with the hotel she wants to have our wedding there which would be great considering the charm, location, cleanliness and accommodating staff. Thanks for helping to make an important date perfect!

Coming from Maryland and not having any contacts in Ft. Lauderdale, I panned my entire wedding online and via phone. Jessica was wonderful in offering suggestions. All of the staff at the Pelican were incredibly friendly and helpful, I felt like a queen. The wedding was on top "castle" and was coordinated perfectly by Jessica and staff. She was there to help with anything. The meal at the Ocean Grille was not only delicious but table setup beautiful and service wonderful! Thank you Sean and staff. I can't say enough except I can't wait to come back!

I spent the weekend for a company Holiday party and I found the Pelican to be a fantastic resort. The room and amenities were great and I can't wait to come back. My company uses the hotel for a lot of events and visitors. I would love to come down for a getaway with my wife.
